OUR PROGRAMMES AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS ARE CENTERED ON:

Education and Skill Development:
Goal: To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and provide opportunities for lifelong learning for all, with a special focus on women and vulnerable children.
- “Back-to-School” Sponsorship and Mentorship: This program will provide scholarships, school supplies, and mentorship for vulnerable children, ensuring they have the resources and support to stay in school. It will also include a mentorship component that pairs students with successful professionals.
- “Empower HER Initiative” Vocational Training: A vocational and skills acquisition program designed for rural women and young adults. Training will be offered in high-demand fields such as tailoring, ICT, agribusiness, and renewable energy technology, leading to certification and job placement support.
- Community Literacy Hubs: Establishment of local literacy centers that offer adult education classes for women who have missed out on formal schooling. These hubs will provide foundational reading, writing, and numeracy skills, empowering women to participate more fully in economic and social life.
- “Digital Bridges” Program: A digital literacy initiative to teach computer skills, internet usage, and online safety. This program aims to bridge the digital divide and provide access to modern economic and educational opportunities.
Education is at the core of our work, and we believe it is the key to unlocking opportunities and long-term empowerment for women and girls. Through our programs, we strive to bridge the education gap by providing access to quality schooling, vocational training, and capacity-building opportunities that equip women, girl child and young people with marketable skills and the confidence to lead in their communities.
Access to Education: EEF works to ensure girls and women have access to quality formal education, including primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.
Vocational and Lifelong Learning: In addition to traditional education, EEF focuses on vocational training, skills development, and capacity-building programs designed to improve women’s employability and leadership potential in local economies.
STEM and Leadership Programs: The organization focuses on fostering women’s participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and leadership roles in communities and the workforce.

Human Rights and Social Advocacy and Gender Equality Program:
Goal: To advocate for and defend human rights, working to eradicate discrimination, exploitation, and injustice, with a focus on gender equality and social inclusion.
- “Voices for Justice” Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Response: This program will establish safe houses and provide legal aid, psychosocial support, and medical care for survivors of GBV. It will also conduct community-wide campaigns to raise awareness and challenge cultural norms that perpetuate violence.
- Legislative Advocacy and Policy Reform: EEFS will work with governments and lawmakers to advocate for the passage and implementation of policies that protect the rights of women and children, such as anti-discrimination laws and child protection acts.
- “Rights and Responsibilities” Community Workshops: A series of workshops and town halls that educate community members on their human rights, legal protections, and the importance of gender equity and social justice.
EEF implements programmes aimed at eradicating gender-based violence, discrimination, and inequality through education, policy advocacy, and awareness campaigns. This includes promoting the rights of women, girl child and young people to education, health, and equal opportunities.
We advocate for policies that promote the fundamental rights of women, girl child, young people ensuring their voices are heard at national, regional, and global platforms. We are committed to the eradication of gender-based violence, discrimination, and inequality, and fight for policies that uphold women’s rights to education, healthcare, and equal opportunities.

Health Advocacy and Empowerment:
Goal: To improve the health outcomes of women, young people, and vulnerable children by providing accessible, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive health services and education.
- “Healthy Women, Healthy Communities” Campaign: This program focuses on reproductive and maternal health, including antenatal care, safe delivery practices, family planning, and post-natal support. It will include mobile health clinics, community health worker training, and public awareness campaigns on reducing maternal mortality.
- EEFS Cares for Children: This program will provide regular health screenings, vaccinations, and nutritional support for vulnerable children. It will also include deworming campaigns and education for parents on childhood diseases like malaria and tuberculosis.
- “Know Your Status” & “Protect Your Future” Program: A targeted initiative to combat HIV/AIDS and STIs through free testing, counseling, and access to treatment and prevention resources. This program will include specialized outreach for key populations and young people, focusing on stigma reduction and promoting safe sexual practices.
- Mental Health and Wellness Support: Recognizing the importance of mental well-being, this program will offer free counseling services, support groups, and workshops on stress management and trauma recovery, particularly for survivors of gender-based violence.
Our focus on women’s and girls’ health is fundamental to their overall well-being. We advocate for reproductive rights, maternal health services, mental health support, and sexual and reproductive health education to ensure women can make informed decisions about their lives and bodies.
Reproductive and Maternal Health: EEF focuses on ensuring access to reproductive health services, including maternal healthcare, sexual and reproductive health education, family planning, and mental health support.
Healthcare Access: EEF works to reduce health disparities faced by women, particularly in low-income regions, by improving access to essential healthcare services, sanitation, and wellness resources. This also includes HIV-AIDS awareness, advocacy and prevention.

Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship:
Goal: To foster economic independence and financial stability for women and youth through skill development, entrepreneurship, and access to financial resources.
- EEFS Micro-Finance and Seed Grants: This program will provide micro-loans and small business grants to women and youth entrepreneurs to help them start or expand their businesses. It will also include financial literacy training on budgeting, saving, and managing credit.
- “Made by HER” Cooperative Market: Creation of a cooperative business model that helps women artisans and farmers sell their products. This program will provide training on quality control, marketing, and access to local and international markets, ensuring fair prices for their goods.
- Skill Acquisition and Apprenticeship Scheme: This program will partner with local businesses and master artisans to create structured apprenticeship opportunities for young people, providing them with hands-on experience and a direct path to employment.
We recognize that financial independence and access to economic opportunities are crucial for the empowerment of women. EEF fosters programs that support women entrepreneurs, promote financial literacy, and create pathways to sustainable income through job creation, entrepreneurship, and financial independence.
Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy: EEF supports women’s economic independence through entrepreneurship programs, financial literacy workshops, and access to microfinance and business development services.
Job Creation and Workforce Participation: EEF fosters programs that create job opportunities for women, support women’s access to decent work, and enable women to participate actively in the economy, both formally and informally. This also include skill set development.

Leadership and Governance Development Program

Goal: To promote environmental conservation and sustainable practices that improve the living conditions of communities, particularly in areas affected by climate change.
- “Clean Water, Healthy Lives” (WASH) Project: This program will focus on providing access to clean water through borehole installation and sanitation facilities. It will also educate communities on hygiene practices to prevent waterborne diseases.
- “Green Guardians” Initiative: An environmental awareness and action program that will mobilize women and youth to lead tree-planting campaigns, waste management drives, and workshops on climate change adaptation.

Awareness Campaigns:
Public Awareness Campaigns: EEF runs global and local awareness campaigns to educate the public on the importance of gender equality, women’s rights, and the intersectionality of social issues like poverty, violence, and health disparities.
Cultural Change: Through media, workshops, and advocacy efforts, EEF works to challenge harmful gender norms and cultural practices that contribute to the marginalization of women and girls such female genital mutilation (FGM) and other social injustice against women, girl child and young people.
